Bristol City hold long-term interest in Birmingham City striker target

Bristol City have held a ‘long-term interest’ in Birmingham City-linked Bojan Miovski at Aberdeen, as detailed in a report by BristolLive.

Bristol City reportedly considered a swoop for the striker in the last January transfer window. However, nothing materialised in the end and he ended up staying put in Scotland.

Miovski, 24, has been a key player for Aberdeen since joining them back in 2022 and has scored 44 goals in 94 games in all competitions, 26 of which came last season. The Scottish Sun claim League One side Birmingham City are interested in a move for him this summer along with Bologna in Serie A.

According to BristolLive, the Robins have also been keeping track of his progress in the Scottish Premiership. However, his price tag may well be too high for Liam Manning’s side at this moment in time as they hunt for some reinforcements to their ranks.

Bristol City admirers of striker

Miovski has been prolific for Aberdeen since signing for them and they won’t want to lose him over the next couple of months.

He would be ideal for Bristol City if they were to follow up on their interest and launch a swoop for him.

The North Macedonia international, who has 22 caps under his belt so far in his career, is under contract at Pittodrie until 2026 meaning the Dons can hold out for the right offer if they are to consider cashing in on him anytime soon.

Miovski played his his native country for the likes of Bregalnica Štip, FК Rabotnichki, FK Makedonija G.P. and KF Renova before he was snapped up by MTK Budapest in 2020.

He then fired 19 goals in 60 matches before Aberdeen took a gamble on him.

Bristol City latest

Bristol City need to ensure that they get their recruitment right as they look to compete in the top half.

They have the chance to bring in some new faces now the transfer window is open for business.

The Robins turned to former MK Dons and Oxford United boss Manning during the last campaign and he will want to inject more quality into his squad.

Miovski would fit the bill for Bristol City but they would need to fork out some money to lure him to Ashton Gate.
