3 players who could exit if Port Vale are relegated to League Two

Port Vale have just six games to save their season, currently sat in the relegation zone just one point off safety as we enter the business end of the season.

Port Vale are currently sat in the relegation zone just one point off safety as they look to preserve their League One status over the final six games.

Port Vale occupy 21st spot in the table having endured an extremely disappointing run of form in League One. An upturn in results is needed if they are to avoid finishing in the bottom four.

Darren Moore has a number of squad members who could be poached if they suffer relegation, with some more likely than others to head for the exit doors this summer should the club find themselves in League Two.

Here, we take a look at three players who could move on from Port Vale if they are relegated this season…

Ethan Chislett

South Africa-born Chislett has hit nine goals and eight assists in all competitions so far this season, featuring 48 times so far since joining from AFC Wimbledon in the summer.

The 25-year-old is under contract until 2025, although having proven his worth in the third tier he may look to move on quickly should an enticing offer come his way. There are bound to be potential suitors for the midfielder should the Valiants go down.

Ben Garrity

With 13 goals and three assists to his name in all competitions this season, Garrity is another member of Moore’s squad who is under contract until 2025 but may have put himself in the shop window early.

The 27-year-old midfielder contributes both defensively and offensively to a high standard and he would likely prefer to avoid a League Two return as he heads towards the peak years of his career.

Who is this?

Tom Sang

Right-back Sang only joined Port Vale at the beginning of the season, but the 24-year-old has settled in quickly and become one of the most consistent performers in the squad.

The former Cardiff City man offers versatility, with the ability to play in a number of areas. He performs well both in and out of possession and is another who has surely caught the eye of clubs looking for a bargain deal this summer.
