Manchester United interested in swoop for Port Vale prospect this summer

Manchester United are keen on Port Vale attacker Baylee Dipepa, according to a report by The Sun.

Port Vale could face a battle to keep hold of the youngster this summer amid interest from the Premier League giants.

Dipepa, 17, is being tipped for a bright future in the game and has caught the eye in League One.

According to The Sun, the Red Devils are ‘leading’ the race for his signature ahead of the next transfer window.

Port Vale starlet eyed by Manchester United

Manchester United could see the teenager as a potential signing for the future.

He is under contract at Port Vale until June 2026 meaning they are under no pressure to cash in on him anytime soon unless an offer that they can’t refuse comes in for his signature.

It would be hard for Darren Moore’s side to stand in the way of him leaving if an opportunity to move to Old Trafford came about.

Dipepa has risen up through the academy ranks at Vale Park and has been a regular at various youth levels.

He made his first-team debut in September last year in an EFL Trophy clash against rivals Crewe Alexandra and was then handed his first professional deal in January.

The England youth international has now made 20 appearances for Port Vale this season and has chipped in with two goals.

However, they may lose him later this year with Manchester United linked with a swoop for his services.

In the meantime, the Valiants are focused on staying up in the third tier. They are 21st in the table with seven fixtures left to play.

Moore’s men are a point from safety after their 2-0 win at home to Bristol Rovers last time out. Next up is an away trip to Northampton Town tomorrow.
