3 Swansea City players capable of stepping up to the Premier League in the future

Swansea City look to be marooned in midtable with a top six spot or a relegation battle now unlikely. Yet despite their disappointing campaign there have been some standout performers.

Swansea City sit in 15th place in the table and are 15 points outside of a place in the play-offs and seven points above the drop zone with eight left to play.

Their season has been inconsistent at best, but there has been consistency when it comes to some players in the Swans’ squad.

Here are three players who have impressed and have the quality to play in the Premier League in years to come.

Charlie Patino

The Arsenal loanee has fallen out of favour in recent months but his quality and potential is certainly undeniable. At just 20 years old he has a big future in the game.

Patino has been linked to several sides in Europe’s top leagues, with Italian quartet AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus and Napoli all previously interested, whilst Premier League side Fulham failed with a January pursuit. He is one who is likely to thrive in the top flight in the future.

Nathan Wood

A regular for Swansea City and for England youth side since being 14 years old, Nathan Wood has bags of experience in the Championship despite being 21 years old.

Although perhaps not ready to make the step up to the Premier League just yet, he is one to watch out for further down the line.

Ronald

After making a bright start to life in Wales and in the Championship, Ronald is one who could viewed as one for the future.

Although just beginning to make his way in Europe with successful moves to Portugal and now to England, he is progressing well. The winger is one who, if he continues at the same trajectory, could make the step up to the Premier League at a later date.
