Blackpool are hoping to gain promotion from League One this season under Neil Critchley.

They are three points outside the top six with seven fixtures left to play.

Here is a look at three of their players who are capable of making the step up to the Championship in the future…

Albie Morgan

The 24-year-old made the move up north to Blackpool from fellow third tier outfit Charlton Athletic last summer. The change of scene has done him good this term and he has become a key player at Bloomfield Road.

Although he is injured at the moment, the Seasiders are hoping he can return soon to help them in their remaining matches. He has made 35 appearances in all competitions and has scored six goals.

Who is this?

Daniel Grimshaw

The Tangerines’ number one has kept 14 clean sheets in 38 league games in this campaign. If they don’t go up, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see other clubs sniffing around him in the summer.

He already has experience of playing in the league above. The ex-Manchester City man, who is 26-years-old, is under contract with his current club until 2026 meaning they are under no pressure to cash in on him.

Karamoko Dembele

He is on loan at Blackpool and has been a hit since his temporary switch from Brest last year. The former Celtic winger has a bright future ahead of him in the game.

Dembele is due to return to France later this year when his loan ends. He has been linked with a permanent switch back to England though with Leeds United, Leicester City, Southampton, Middlesbrough and Everton among the clubs mentioned as potential suitors, as per a report by HITC Sport.
