‘They usually fall short’ – Norwich City vs Rotherham United prediction: The72

The72’s writers offer their Norwich City vs Rotherham United prediction ahead of the Championship clash on Saturday.

Norwich City head into their upcoming Championship clash on the back of their 3-1 loss away at Middlesbrough last time out. Ashley Barnes got their goal at the Riverside Stadium.

The Canaries are sat in 7th place in the table. They are only a point behind Hull City in 6th at the moment.

As for Rotherham United, they are rock-bottom and are heading down to League One unless they can miraculously survive. They have won three games all season.

The Millers were beaten 5-0 away at Coventry City in their last game. They were 4-0 down at half-time.

Here, a handful of our writers make their predictions for the game…

Harry Mail

Prior to their loss at Middlesbrough, Norwich City were in decent form. They are looking strong at the moment and should have enough quality to beat struggling Rotherham United this weekend.

David Wagner will want to see a reaction from his players as they look to get into the top six with 10 games left to play. I think they will bounce back with a comfortable win here.

The Millers just aren’t good enough and although most matches they put in a battling performance, they usually fall short in the end.”

Norwich City should get back on track here. They were looking comfortable against Middlesbrough before that Borja Sainz red card and against Rotherham United, they should have no problems taking all three points.

“It’s not been an easy season for Rotherham United fans and quite frankly, it just feels like they’re waiting for the end of the campaign. They’re nowhere near the fight for survival and it’s just a matter of time before they drop to League One, so it’s not exactly a lively atmosphere with the Millers.

“I think the result here will reflect that. I’ll say this ends 2-0 to the hosts.”

Norwich City vs Rotherham United prediction: 2-0
