‘He will be fine’ – Bolton Wanderers man available for Exeter City trip as Ian Evatt shares update

Bolton Wanderers boss Ian Evatt has said Josh Dacres-Cogley is ‘fine’ to play this weekend.

Bolton Wanderers are back in League One action with an away trip to Exeter City.

Dacres-Cogley, 27, went off with a foot injury in the Trotters’ clash away at Barnsley last time out.

In this latest update regarding his condition, Evatt has said, as per a report by The Bolton News: “Cogs is OK. It was a strange one, more of a whack on the nerve which made his foot go numb. It settled pretty quickly so I think he will be fine.”

Bolton Wanderers selection latest

Having Dacres-Cogley available for Saturday is a big boost for Bolton.

He joined the North West outfit last summer and has since made 43 appearances in all competitions, 35 of which have come in the league, and has chipped in with two goals.

The full-back has slotted in nicely into the Trotters’ side and has been a consistent performer as they eye promotion to the Championship.

Dacres-Cogley is a product of the Birmingham City academy and played 30 times for their first-team as a youngster, as well as having a loan spell away at Crawley Town to get some experience.

He then cut ties with the Blues on a permanent basis and had a solid two year stint at Tranmere Rovers in League Two before moving to his current club on a two-year deal.

Bolton fought back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Barnsley last time out and should be in confident mood.

They are 2nd in the table behind Portsmouth and are a point above Derby County in 3rd. The Trotters have 10 matches left to play, starting with Exeter City as they look to get over the line.
