Bristol City man given green light to head out the exit door on loan

Bristol City midfielder Dylan Kadji has joined Aldershot Town on loan, as announced by the non-league side’s official club website.

Bristol City have let the youngster head out the exit door again to get some more experience under his belt.

Kadji, 20, spent time with Forest Green Rovers in League Two during the first-half of this season.

The Shots have now confirmed he has linked up with them in the National League until the end of the campaign.

Kadji’s switch to Aldershot is a chance for him to get some regular game time between now and the summer before he heads back to Bristol City.

His chances of breaking into the Robins’ first-team are slim at the moment due to the options that they have at their disposal in his position, hence why he has been given the green light to depart for a second time this term.

The prospect has risen up through the academy ranks of the Championship outfit and has been a regular for them at various youth levels.

Kadji was handed his first professional contract back in 2021 and has made four senior appearances for his parent club to date, chipping in with a single goal.

He has also had temporary stints away from Ashton Gate at Bath City and Swindon Town in the past.

Forest Green came calling last summer after their relegation from League One and he played six times during his spell in Gloucestershire before his time there was cut short earlier this winter.

Kadji temporarily leaves behind a Bristol City side who are in poor form right now. They are back in action this evening against Ipswich Town away.
