Mitchell, Grant and more: What the summer could hold for Millwall’s loaned out players

Millwall have won their last two games on the spin under Neil Harris as they look to avoid relegation to League One.

Millwall brought back their former boss following their decision to part ways with Joe Edwards.

They have since won away at Southampton and beaten Watford at home to boost their survival hopes.

Here is a look at what the summer will hold for their loaned out players…

Alex Mitchell

Mitchell is due to return to Millwall this summer from his loan spell at Lincoln City. He was given the green light to link up with the League One side on a temporary basis last summer to help boost his development.

The centre-back, who is 22-years-old, has since enjoyed plenty of game time with the Imps and has made 31 appearances in all competitions, 26 of which have come in the league. He will be hoping to force his way into Harris’ plans for the next campaign.

Kamarl Grant

The 21-year-old linked up with Bromley earlier this winter and has since played four times. Andy Woodman’s side are currently eyeing promotion to the Football League from the National League.

Grant will return to The Den at the end of this campaign and the Lions will have a decision to make on what to do with him in the next transfer, whether that be keep hold of him or send him somewhere else. He joined his parent club from Sheffield United back in 2022.

Millwall let him join Sutton United in January to get some more experience. The 20-year-old was handed a new deal by the Lions in October last year which suggests he is part of their long-term plans.

The London club will have to weigh up his options when he is back. His current focus will be on helping his loan club stay up in League Two under ex-Lions striker Steve Morison.
