Midfielder out: QPR team news and predicted XI to face Leicester City

The latest QPR team news as Marti Cifuentes’ side gear up to face Leicester City in the Championship.

QPR head into their upcoming Championship clash in confident mood after back-to-back wins.

They won 2-1 at home to Rotherham United last time out after goals by Paul Smyth and Chris Willock. The R’s won 1-0 away at Bristol City in their match before that courtesy of Ilias Chair’s winner.

That result saw the London club rise out of the relegation zone above Stoke City on goal difference with 12 games left of the season to play.

QPR team news

As per QPR’s official club website, they have no fresh injury concerns to deal with which is a boost. However, Jack Colback is suspended for the next two games.

Starting XI

Begovic

Dunne

Cook

Clarke-Salter

Paal

Hayden

Field

Willock

Hodge

Chair

Dykes

Asmir Begovic injects useful experience into the Hoops’ ranks and has been a solid signing this season.

The back four should stay the same from the win over Rotherham, whilst Isaac Hayden did a decent job in front of them against the Millers. He joined the club in January on loan from Newcastle United until the end of the campaign.

With Colback unavailable, the door has opened for Sam Field to come back into the starting XI. He started on the bench last week but seems the most likely player to come into the fold.

Willock, Joe Hodge and Chair are likely to play in behind the striker. Cifuentes then has a big decision to make regarding who to start up top.

He went for Michael Frey against Rotherham but going for Dykes instead here would freshen up his side.
