The latest West Brom team news as Carlos Corberan’s side gear up to face Coventry City in the Championship this evening.

West Brom prepare to host Coventry City following a hard-fought 1-1 draw away from home against fellow play-off hopefuls Hull City last weekend.

West Brom initially trailed the Tigers through aábio Carvalho, but Darnell Furlong hit back just before half-time to level things up. That was to be it for the scoring, with the Baggies securing a point on their travels and retaining their spot in the Championship top six, sat 5th in the table with 12 games to go.

The reverse fixture between the two sides saw Corberan’s men pick up three points against the Sky Blues, winning 2-0 at the CBS Arena courtesy of strikes from Grady Diangana and Brandon Thomas-Asante.

West Brom team news

There are no new problems for the Baggies ahead of Coventry City’s visit, though a number of players remain on the sidelines.

Forwards Daryl Dike and Josh Maja are out for the long-term while Brandon Thomas-Asante also remains out, leaving Corberan’s options in attack dwindled. Jed Wallace was deployed up top last time out and could continue there.

Matt Phillips is also out expected back midway through April.

Only one change is expected for the Baggies against Coventry City, with Kyle Bartley likely to return in place of Erik Pieters following his recovery from injury. The centre-back was on the bench for the draw against Hull City and will be expecting his first-team spot back.

Captain Wallace should keep his spot over Weimann, though loan man Callum Marshall is also an option up top.

It is unlikely that there will be any wholesale changes following their performance against the Tigers, although John Swift will be among those oping to come into the starting XI.
