‘Leaking goals’ – Bradford City vs Notts County prediction: The72

The72’s writers offer their Bradford City vs Notts County prediction ahead of the League Two clash on Saturday.

Bradford City will be itching to play after seeing their game against Barrow postponed last weekend. Graham Alexander’s side won 1-0 at home to Sutton United in their last League Two outing.

Calum Kavanagh was on the scoresheet for the Bantams against the U’s. They are now 16th in the table but are only five points off the play-offs.

As for Notts County, their form has slumped recently. They were beaten 4-3 at home by Sutton last time out.

The Magpies were promoted from the National League last year along with Wrexham but lost manager Luke Williams to Swansea City earlier this season.

Here, a handful of our writers make their predictions for the game…

Bradford City still have a decent chance of getting into the top seven if they can hit some form between now and the end of the season, despite their lowly league position.

Stuart Maynard’s time at Notts County has not gone to plan yet. They have slipped down to 14th in the table and their hopes of making the play-offs are fading away fast.

The Magpies are leaking goals for fun and only bottom of the table Sutton have let in more this term. I can see them slumping to another defeat at Valley Parade.”

“It’s been a really tough time for Notts County, and it’s hard not to feel a bit sorry for Stuart Maynard. While there are valid criticisms of his tenure to date, the Magpies’ form had gone off the boil before his arrival, it just feels as though things are coming to a bit of a head.

“Some of the reactions of his players in the Sutton United loss were a cause for concern and away to Bradford, I fear the visitors could be on the receiving end of a fairly convincing defeat.

“I don’t think it’ll be a thrashing, but I’ll say the Bantams secure a pretty comfortable win.”
