3 Festy Ebosele alternatives Leeds United should eye amid multi-club chase for Udinese ace

Leeds United were among the multiple clubs to be credited with interest in Udinese speedster Festy Ebosele in reports last week.

Leeds United are said to have eyes on Udinese right-back Ebosele, but they’re far from the only admirers. Championship rivals Southampton and Watford are mentioned, while Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and West Ham have all had eyes on him too.

With such interest, the Whites would be wise to keep some alternative options in mind. Here, we put forward three players worth considering…

Bright Osayi-Samuel – Fenerbahce

Osayi-Samuel is a name that will be known to some fans from his spells in England with Blackpool and QPR. Since swapping the latter for Fenerbahce though, the Nigerian international has dropped into a deeper role as a right-back or wing-back.

He offers a dangerous attacking threat from his time as a winger but his defensive abilities have developed well.

Connor Roberts – Burnley

Roberts is currently on loan at Leeds United, but it could be wise to consider him as a permanent option, perhaps over Ebosele. His place in the Burnley pecking order is clear to see after a January exit was sanctioned and given the Welsh contingency at Elland Road, you’d fancy him to settle and find success with the Whites.

A permanent move after a loan to settle in could be perfect for both the club and player.

Who is this?

Marius Wolf – Borussia Dortmund

Last but not least is Borussia Dortmund man Wolf, who is reportedly poised to leave the club when his deal runs out in the summer.

As a player with pedigree at the top of the game, a free transfer move for him could prove fantastic business for Leeds United. You would fancy this only to have a chance of getting done if Daniel Farke’s side were to rise to the Premier League though.
