‘8/10’ – Media wowed by Leeds United man who reminded Farke of his class in Huddersfield win

Leeds United earned a 4-1 victory over Huddersfield Town on the Championship on Saturday.

Leeds United welcome Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town to Elland Road on Saturday afternoon, with the Whites scoring four goals in the first half and eventually going on to win the game 4-1.

Daniel Farke’s side remain in 3rd place of the Championship table but still nine points behind Ipswich Town in 2nd, who also have a game in hand on Leeds.

For Farke though, Saturday’s performance was impressive, with several players standing out in what was a dominant attacking display, with one standout player being Dan James.

The Welshman scoring twice along with Crysencio Summerville in the first half. James now has three Championship goals to his name this season, as well as four assists.

Leeds Live rated his performance an 8/10 on Saturday, with journalist Beren Cross adding:

“Took his goals superbly. Pace to burn and gave Leeds that final ball through for shots at goal. Quiet after the break as the substitutions took the rhythm out of the game.”

Who is the current manager of Leicester City?

More to come from James?

James is obviously a very useful player for Leeds United. And on Saturday, he reminded us that he’s a player who can score goals too; he’s not simply a player who’s pace can help to create goal-scoring chances.

Leeds looked good against Huddersfield but Farke and his players know that there’ll be much tougher challenges ahead of them this season.

The Whites seem to be the best of the rest right now with Leicester City and Ipswich pulling away, and it’ll be very difficult to close the gap which is already a big one.

But if James can maintain his form on Saturday then it’ll certainly give Leeds an improved chance of closing that gap on the top two.

Up next for the Whites is a trip to Leeds United on Friday night.
