Huddersfield Town head to Leeds United for a Yorkshire derby in the Championship this weekend.
Huddersfield Town make the short journey to Leeds United on Saturday for what promises to be a tough outing in the Championship for Darren Moore’s side.
The former Sheffield Wednesday boss got his first win in charge last weekend, beating QPR 2-1 at home. But the Terriers were dismantled by Cardiff City last night, losing 4-0.
Leeds United are in action vs Stoke City tonight. They currently sit in 3rd place of the Championship table compared to Huddersfield in 19th, with six points currently separating them and the bottom three.
And for Saturday’s game at Elland Road, Huddersfield will be backed by a sold out away following, with 3,006 Terriers fans making the journey.
Last time these two teams met was in the 2019/20 Championship campaign, with Leeds winning both games 2-0.
A big game for Huddersfield…
Moore has his first win under his belt now, and that should’ve set his side up for another positive performance vs Cardiff,
But that game just has to be forgotten about now. Something obviously went terribly wrong on the night and Huddersfield just need to move on and focus on Leeds.
They have an extra day’s rest over the Whites but whether that’ll count for much remains to be seen, given the amount of quality and depth that Daniel Farke has at his disposal.
Huddersfield though remain a threat. They’ve only lost two of seven games under Moore so far, having taken a point from Leicester City and another from Coventry City too, so they know they can go toe-to-toe with the league’s better sides.
And a sold out away following will surely help Town put in a good performance on Saturday.
