Bolton Wanderers won 4-2 away at Wycombe Wanderers in League One last night.
Bolton Wanderers have now won four of their last five in League One after beating Wycombe Wanderers comfortably last night, courtesy of goals from Paris Maghoma, George Thomason, Eoin Toal, and Aaron Morley.
It was another commanding performance from Ian Evatt’s side who’ve moved up into 4th place of the League One table, with one man standing out among a few last night; Josh Sheehan.
The midfielder provided the assists for Thomason and Toal, having now claimed three assists in 13 League One appearances this season, with one goal to his name as well.
The Bolton News rated his performance 8.5/10 last night, with journalist Marc Iles adding:
“Produced a superb ball for Thomason’s goal and wrestled control of the game in the latter stages, making it a football match again. In great form.”
The Trotters have now put 26 points on the board after the opening 13 games, with Bolton just two points behind Oxford United in 2nd place.
Sheehan and Bolton Wanderers…
Bolton have had a good first part of the season so far.
They’re perhaps where they’d have hoped to be in the table after this many games, and despite a few poor results, they’re looking like they’re really starting to come together.
Last night’s game had a number of standout performers and Sheehan was certainly one of them; he showed his creativity and class to help Bolton claim an impressive and important win.
He’s now in his third season at the club and it looks like this could be his best campaign in a Bolton shirt after stop start campaigns in previous seasons.
Evatt and co will just be hoping that he can stay fit and maintain his current vein of form.
Up next for Bolton is a trip to Charlton Athletic this weekend.
