Swansea City held a fans’ forum last night, with plenty of interesting insight from different club figures.
Swansea City gave an in depth fans’ forum last night. A number of names were in attendance including Andy Coleman, Paul Watson, and Paul Meller, as well as Michael Duff and Matt Grimes.
And Duff gave some interesting quotes on his players, the club’s recruitment and what not. He also singled out Swansea City man Jamie Paterson for praise.
The 31-year-old has featured in nine of Swansea’s opening 11 Championship fixtures, claiming three assists including one in the last outing vs Plymouth Argyle.
In last night’s forum, Duff said of Paterson:
“He’s a perfect example of what we want at the minute. He’s kept working hard and his ability has come out. First and foremost, his work-rate, running, attitude and application – all those things have come out in training and then his ability has come out.”
The Swans currently sit in 12th place of the Championship table after experiencing a major upturn in form, winning their last four and going unbeaten in their last five.
Paterson’s Swansea City revival
Now in his third season at Swansea City; it’s not been plain sailing for Paterson. He was in and out of the side under Russell Martin and at one point, it looked like the club wanted to offload him.
But he’s always been a player with great ability and Duff’s summer arrival gave him a chance to start clean, and so far this season he’s been an important player.
Duff’s comments really highlight his positive attitude and positive performances on the pitch. Paterson is a real creative force for the Swans and if he can start scoring as well, he’ll become a crucial player.
Swansea City return to Championship action vs Leicester City this weekend.
