It was a calculated summer transfer window from Preston North End, who go into this month’s international break in 1st place of the Championship.
We’re only five games into the 2023/24 Championship season, but the early signs for Ryan Lowe’s Preston North End are very positive.
They’re unbeaten in the league and have won their last four, winning 2-0 away at Stoke City in their last Championship outing before the break.
The Lilywhites showed their reach in the summer transfer window signing players from across Europe whilst also utilising the the British market and the loan market as well.
Let’s take a look at all the ins and outs at Deepdale this summer…

Our assessment…
“Preston North End seems like a really positive place to be right now.
“They showed great efficiency and reach in the transfer market this summer, and they also proved how well their recruitment system is working; Frokjaer has slotted into the side seamlessly and Will Keane is scoring goals for fun.
“There’s also Osmajic who looks like he could make his debut after the international break, so everything is certainly looking up for Preston North End who also made a very good-looking loan signing in Liam Millar.
“What’s also impressive is how the club continues to attract players from Premier League clubs on permanent deals; Layton Stewart this summer and Freddie Woodman last year.
“On the whole, a very good summer for Lowe’s side.”
