millwall currently have a few players injured

‘Strong interest’: Millwall duo could move on before 11pm deadline, says journalist

Richard Cawley says there’s strong interest in Millwall duo Andreas Voglsammer and George Evans ahead of tonight’s 11pm transfer deadline.

Millwall have made some shrewd signings this summer, spending money on the likes of Casper De Norre, Matija Sarkic, and Kevin Nisbet, whilst also making a number of free agent signings too.

And it’s seemingly pushed the likes of Voglsammer and Evans down the pecking order with both having been limited to substitute appearances in the opening stage of this season.

And South London Press journalist Cawley is now reporting that the pair have strong interest from elsewhere, with both potentially leaving The Den before the summer transfer window shuts tonight.

But Cawley adds that Millwall will look to bring in some replacements should both move on.

Moving on…

Voglsammer and Evans are two decent players and they’ll no doubt have roles to play under Rowett this season.

But the fact that both are falling out of favour, and that both have strong interest from elsewhere, tells us that Millwall have a very strong first-team.

They’ve made good signings once again this summer and they’ll be expected to challenge for a spot in the top six, with the Lions also looking like they could make a couple more signings of their own today.

Where interest in Evans and Voglsammer is coming from remains to be seen. But both are talented players and both would make for good signings for a lot of clubs.
