Premier League clubs are monitoring Sunderland midfielder Dan Neil with Liverpool one club to have sent scouts to watch him, as per Mike McGrath.
Neil, 21, has become a regular for Sunderland in recent times.
The midfielder has played in all four Championship games for Sunderland so far this season scoring one and assisting another from the middle of the park.
Last time around he played in 47 Championship games, including the play-offs, scoring twice and assisting four.
He has had Premier League interest in the past, but nothing came of it.
However, now it seems he is back on the radar of top flight clubs and Liverpool have reportedly sent scouts to watch the former England youth international.

A hectic day
Tony Mowbray currently risks losing several key players that helped his side finish inside the top six last season.
This feels like make or break for Sunderland’s recruitment strategy as they face strong interest in key men and they are now tasked with potentially having to find suitable replacements.
Neil is a strong midfielder and whilst the 21-year-old still has improvements to make to his game, he would be a good pick-up for several clubs in the Premier League.
That being said, it remains to be seen whether any of this interest will materialise and whether any of the interested clubs can match whatever Sunderland’s valuation would be.
It’s definitely one to keep an eye on with a lot going down on Wearside today.
