‘Written all over it’ – Swansea City v Bristol City prediction: The72

Swansea City host Bristol City in the Championship this weekend.

Swansea City welcome Bristol City to the Swansea.com Stadium on Saturday, with the Swans still looking for their first league win under new boss Michael Duff.

A Carabao Cup win over Northampton Town remains his only win as Swansea manager so far, with a Carabao Cup defeat v Bournemouth being his side’s last results.

Bristol City were also dumped out of the cup in midweek, losing against Norwich City. The Robins have only lost once in the league so far this season, winning just once as well.

Here, a handful of our writers make their predictions for the game…

Luke Phelps

“Both these sides have had some difficult games to start the season and I don’t think their current league positions are a representation of how well they’ll do this season.

“It’ll be interesting to see how Swansea go on to do without Joel Piroe. Jerry Yates is a good replacement and I hope to see him flourish, though he certainly has big shoes to fill.

“Bristol City look like they’re still taking some time to gel and they too have had a big player sale this summer in Alex Scott.

“I think this game has 1-1 written all over it.”

Score prediction: Swansea City 1-1 Bristol City

James Ray

“I can see it being a close one in South Wales. Swansea City are looking to find form under Duff and at home to Bristol City, they do have a chance of claiming a much-needed first win under their new boss.

“I’m not quite convinced they’re strong enough to claim all three points though. Patience is needed and I feel their wait for a win might have to go on.

“The visitors need to find some consistency but I can see them picking up a third draw here, which isn’t necessarily a bad result away from home. I’ll say a score draw.”

Score prediction: Swansea City 1-1 Bristol City
