New claims emerge over Ipswich Town’s interest in Chelsea man amid rumours of advanced talks

Ipswich Town are interested in Chelsea’s Omari Hutchinson but a deal is not as far along as initially reported, as per TWTD.

Ipswich Town are being widely tipped for success upon their return to the Championship but Kieran McKenna and co know that they still need to add some more fresh faces to their ranks before the window ends on September 1st.

Rumours have been rife this summer and new claims emerged on Monday night regarding a possible loan move for Chelsea talent Omari Hutchinson.

It was said by The Chelsea Spot that the Tractor Boys were in advanced talks over a loan deal for the 19-year-old.

However, TWTD has now reported that the initial report ‘overstates’ the position. Hutchinson is indeed a player of interest though as McKenna looks to further bolster their attacking options before the new campaign.

Hutchinson made his first-team debut for Chelsea last season and after starring for the U21s again, he looks ready for a step up.

What stadium is this?

An ideal addition?

Jamaican international Hutchinson looks as though he could be a great fit for McKenna’s Ipswich Town squad.

He can play in a range of attacking roles but mainly operates as a right-winger or attacking midfielder. He has played further forward as a striker at times too while also showing a willingness to drop deeper to show for the ball if needs be too.

In 25 games for Chelsea’s U21s, Hutchinson has notched eight goals and 10 assists.

Town have made good use of the loan market and they’ve shown how young players can develop under McKenna’s management. That should aid them in their bid to tempt Chelsea into loaning them Hutchinson but time will tell if their current interest is firmed up over time.
