Preston North End face Rotherham United in the Championship tonight.
Preston travel to The AESSEAL New York Stadium to face Rotherham United in a contest that both sides will feel they can pick up all three points. Ryan Lowe’s side remain 12th following last weekend’s 2-0 win at home to Cardiff City, but they closed the gap to the play-off places to seven points following a six game unbeaten run.
Rotherham will also be pleased with their recent run of results before the 2-0 defeat at Birmingham City at the weekend. The Millers had picked up seven points from a possible nine before heading to St. Andrew’s, but the loss drops them to 20th place – eight clear of the relegation zone.
Preston North End team news
It’s been reported by Lancs Live that defender Andrew Hughes is a doubt after only returning back to injury.
Greg Cunningham’s fitness will be monitored whilst Liam Lindsay is free to return after serving his suspension, Freddie Woodman will keep the gloves despite suffering a heavy blow to the face against Cardiff.
Alan Browne missed the weekend’s fixture due to the birth of his child but Emil Riis and Ali McCann are both out.

Preston have been in great form and therefore may not see many changes from Lowe who will be wary of disturbing the momentum his side are experiencing lately.
A change to defence could see Lindsay return to the starting 11 and give Cunningham a deserved break after completing the 90 minutes in the last five games, whilst Bambo Diaby’s form should see him retain his place. Browne could be welcomed back into the side at the expense of Ben Woodburn who was substituted off on the hour mark against Cardiff.
Ched Evans came off the bench to bag the second and decisive goal against the Bluebirds and could get the nod over Troy Parrott.
