‘I’m devastated’ – Liam Rosenior confirms Hull City ace faces extended absence

Hull City boss Liam Rosenior has revealed that Benjamin Tetteh will be out for at least six weeks.

Hull enter their midweek clash at home to runaway league leaders Burnley in 15th place following impressive results in their last two games.

The Tigers earned a solid point following their 1-1 draw at the weekend away to Coventry City, which followed a 2-0 win against West Brom the week prior. Rosenior’s side have their confidence back again after failing to win their previous four beforehand.

Big blow…

It’s another blow in an injury-hit season for Tetteh, who started just his third game since August against the Sky Blues, registering a goal involvement in his two previous starts.

Tetteh was replaced by Oscar Estupinan who scored the Tigers and the game’s opening goal, ending a run of eight games without scoring, which had ultimately seen Tetteh return to the line-up.

Rosenior is now left with just Estupinan and Allahyar Sayyadmanesh as his fit striking options, with Tetteh joining Aaron Connolly on the treatment table.

Despite the upcoming international break usually being used as a good timeframe for players returning from injury, the Ghanaian’s problem is more severe and as his boss fears could spell the end of his season.

Hull are back in action tomorrow night against Burnley, with kick-off at 7:45pm.
