Portsmouth face Sheffield Wednesday in League One this afternoon.
Portsmouth saw their unbeaten run halted by Barnsley in midweek, with a sloppy few minutes in the first-half leaving the visitors with too much to do. Ultimately, they were defeated 3-1 by the Tykes, and they face more stern Yorkshire opposition this weekend.
Sheffield Wednesday make the long journey down to Hampshire looking to extend their record unbeaten run.
Darren Moore’s side are now 21 games undefeated in League One, with their impressive streak leaving them top of the League One table with two games in hand on title challengers and fellow promotion hopefuls Plymouth Argyle.
Pompey are 10 points shy of the play-offs, but John Mousinho and co aren’t giving up the top-six fight just yet.
Portsmouth team news
Prior to the Barnsley clash, it was confirmed that Ronan Curtis would be out for the rest of the season through an ACL injury. Marlon Pack, Zak Swanson and Clark Robertson have been out but the latter is closing in on a return to full training and should be available for selection from next Monday onwards.
Jay Mingi will be available for selection in a welcome boost confirmed by Mousinho, as will back-up goalkeeper Josh Oluwayemi.

After the midweek defeat, midfielder Joe Morrell was backed by Mousinho despite his error so he should maintain his place in the starting XI. He could be partnered by Tom Lowery this time though, with Michael Jacobs coming in to occupy a more advanced role in a bid to increase the creativity in Mousinho’s side.
Out wide, Dane Scarlett could make way for new singing Paddy Lane, while Colby Bishop maintains his place at the top of the pitch.
The tie kicks off at 15:00 this afternoon.
