Tomasson says Blackburn Rovers man is ‘out for a while’ + updates on Kaminski, Wharton and more ahead of Stoke City clash

Blackburn Rovers face Stoke City in the Championship tomorrow night.

Blackburn Rovers head to the bet365 to face Stoke City tomorrow evening, with Jon Dahl Tomasson’s side looking to secure a sixth-straight win in all competitions. Rovers are unbeaten in their last 11 games in all competitions and go into this game in 4th place of the table – two points behind Middlesbrough in 3rd.

And ahead of tomorrow, Tomasson spoke to the press where he gave an injury update on his side.

The Dane said:

“Jack Vale was unlucky against Leicester U21s, he got a kick in his ankle and will be out for a while. It’s going better with Scott [Wharton], he’s slowly becoming involved. Same with Thomas [Kaminski]. Dacky and Ayala haven’t been involved yet.”

Blackburn Rovers’ U21 side beat Leicester City’s U21 in a Premier League 2 fixture in midweek. Tomasson was in attendance and youngster Jack Vale was involved, but he picked up an injury and so he’ll be sidelined for a while now.

Thomas Kaminski and Scott Wharton are seemingly closing in on a return to action but Daniel Ayala and Bradley Dack look to be sidelined for a longer period of time.

All coming together…

Despite having some tough fixtures of late and a lot of injuries to contend with, Blackburn Rovers look to be in good shape. They’re quickly asserting their spot in the top-six and with the likes of Kaminski and Wharton looking set to return before the end of the season, Rovers fans might fancy their chances in the play-offs.

Up next though is a tough trip to Stoke City. With the weather looking set to be challenging and Stoke City finding a bit of form, it’ll make the game all the more difficult.

Tomorrow’s game kicks off at 8pm and will be shown live on Sky Sports.
