Carlton Morris reacts as Luton Town teammate signs new deal

Luton Town midfielder Jordan Clark has agreed a new contract with the club.

Luton Town announced the news earlier today, with Clark signing a long-term deal – the length of his contact has not been revealed. The 29-year-old joined Luton Town from Accrington Stanley in 2020 and he’s since made over 100 appearances in all competitions for the Hatters, with 33 of those coming in the Championship this season.

Clark has scored twice and assisted four, playing an important role in what’s been another impressive season for Luton Town, who currently sit in 5th place of the table. But arguably their most important player has been summer signing Carlton Morris, who’s the third-highest scorer in the league with 14 goals and five assists to his name so far this season.

And Morris was quick to react to the news of Clark’s new deal, with the striker posting on Twitter:

On the up…

Luton Town, despite only arriving in the Championship a few years ago, are very much on the up. And the Hatters lost former manager Nathan Jones earlier in the campaign too but they made a very solid and smart appointment in Rob Edwards who’s carried on Jones’ good work.

And now Luton have a very talented set of players who seem to all be pulling in the same direction. The Hatters are well within the race for promotion this season and even if they drop out of the top-six before the end of the campaign, things still look very bright for the future.

Clark’s new deal is a sign that the players are very content at Luton Town, who are next in action against Sheffield United this weekend.
