Birmingham City head to Wigan Athletic in the Championship this afternoon.
Birmingham City head up north to face Wigan Athletic today, in what is a really important game near the foot of the Championship table.
Wigan currently sit in last place but are just seven points behind Birmingham City who sit in 19th. Blues have lost their last four in the league, losing 1-0 at home to Luton Town in their last outing.
Shaun Maloney’s Wigan meanwhile have lost just one of their last six in the league, with that defeat coming in their last outing away at Preston North End.
Birmingham City team news
Birmingham City boss John Eustace revealed ahead of this weekend that on loan striker Reda Khadra could make his return, after missing the last four for Blues. Elsewhere, Auston Trusty is touch-and-go according to Eustace, whilst Krystian Bielik remains sidelined for a couple more weeks.
Blues remain without the likes of Troy Deeney and Dion Sanderson, who are sidelined for a longer period of time.

Birmingham City didn’t disgrace themselves v Luton Town last time out, and whilst the likes of Khadra are set to return, it doesn’t seem like Eustace will make any drastic changes to his XI – if any at all.
Blues really don’t have too many options either in defence or in attack and so we could see an unchanged line up today. Khadra should start on the bench along with Trusty should he be fit enough to feature.
Today’s game kicks off at 3pm.
