West Ham are the latest side to join the race for Bristol City midfielder Alex Scott, The Mail+ has said.
Bristol City teenager Scott is no stranger to transfer interest at this point. Since breaking into the first-team picture at Ashton Gate, the Guernsey native has been frequently linked with moves away from the Robins.
Links are persisting as clubs eye potential additions for the summer too. Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are two of the sides most recently credited with interest, and fresh claims have now emerged from The Mail+.
They report that West Ham are now among the sides eyeing up Scott ahead of this summer.
The interest comes after the midfielder’s continued impressive performances in the middle of the park for Bristol City. He’s managed five assists in 32 Championship games thus far and played 90 minutes in the Robins’ FA Cup clash with Manchester City on Tuesday.
Scott has mainly played further forward as an attacking midfielder in recent weeks, but he can play deeper in central or defensive midfield as well as out on the right-hand side.
Destined for a move?
As he continues to impress in the Championship, it seems a matter of time before Scott earns a move to the top-flight.
He’s got the talent to take himself to the top of the game and with a strong amount of senior experience already to his name, Scott could go on to make an instant impact in the Premier League if given the right chances at the right club.
Bristol City haven’t stood in the way of their star players before when it comes to Premier League moves, and Scott looks as though he could be one of the next to prove themselves at Ashton Gate before testing themselves at the very top.
