Barnsley sit 6th in the third tier at the minute and come into this game unbeaten in their past seven outings, winning their past four. Michael Duff is impressing as Barnsley boss and his side look firmly set to fight for promotion through the play-offs this campaign.

“Barton makes his sides hard to beat and against an opposition like Barnsley I expect those tactics to be in full force. Bristol Rovers will likely aim to slow the game down and stay in the game as long as possible to frustrate their opponents.
“Duff’s side will need to be brave in possession this weekend and taking an early lead could be a huge factor in coming away with three points here.
“Barnsley’s run of form has to come to an end eventually, however I expect them to maintain their top six cushion this weekend with a comfortable win.”

“The Tykes are in fine fettle coming into this weekend’s game and they boast a strong record on the road, claiming 10 points from a possible 15 up for grabs in their last five away games. They should be confident for this one too, with Rovers winless in three at home.
“This should be a fairly routine win for the visitors.”
