Blackburn Rovers beat Leicester City 2-1 in the FA Cup fifth round last night.
Blackburn Rovers have made it into the last eight of the competition after beating Premier League side Leicester City last night. Jon Dahl Tomasson’s side scored either side of half-time through Tyrhys Dolan and Sammie Szmodics to earn themselves a win at the King Power Stadium, in what was a memorable night for supporters.
And after the game, several Blackburn players took to social media to share their delight at the win, and here’s what some of them posted:

Blackburn Rovers haven’t reached the quarter-finals of the FA Cup since the 2014/14 season. Joining Blackburn Rovers in the quarter-finals draw is Brighton, Fulham, and Manchester City so far, with Southampton playing Grimsby Town tonight, Burnley playing Fleetwood Town, Manchester United v West Ham, and Sheffield United v Spurs.
A positive run…
Blackburn Rovers started the season in fine form. Then they hit a sticky patch, but they look to be back to their best right now, even with some key injuries to contend with.
Tomasson’s side are sitting in 4th place of the Championship table and they’re now unbeaten in their last 10 games in all competitions, having won their last four in all competitions.
Last night’s win will give the players a real confidence boost going into the next round of fixtures before next month’s international break, with a home game v 2nd place Sheffield United next on Blackburn Rovers’ agenda.
That game kicks off at 12:30pm on Saturday afternoon.
