Preston North End watching over out of contract Bournemouth ace

Preston North End have handed a trial to out of contract Bournemouth man Robbie Brady, Lancs Live has reported.

Preston boss Ryan Lowe has already handed a trial to one player heading for free agency this summer. Ben Woodburn has linked up with the Lilywhites following his departure from Liverpool.

The summer presents clubs with the chance to cast their eye over free agents before deciding whether or not to make a swoop.

Now, with Woodburn already in, Lancs Live has revealed that Preston are also watching over versatile Irishman Brady.

It is claimed that the 30-year-old is training with the Championship club as Lowe eyes up new options on the left-hand side. The need for another option at left wing-back has only been enhanced by Josh Earl’s move to Fleetwood Town too, and Brady could be a smart option for the club to consider.

His experience of Premier League football, versatility and ability from dead-ball situations make him a player certainly worth casting an eye over this summer.

Kicking on in the window…

Preston have wasted no time in getting started this summer.

Goalkeepers Dai Cornell and Freddie Woodman have already signed on permanent deals and with Woodburn and Brady in on trial, it’s clear to see Lowe and co aren’t keen on stopping there.

The former Plymouth Argyle boss has instilled a feeling of ambition for the future and after a promising start since his arrival from Home Park, the summer presents him with the perfect chance to really make his mark on the squad.

Further additions will be wanted, and new trialist Brady could be a smart one to pursue.
