AFC Wimbledon are reportedly ‘braced’ for midfield star Jack Rudoni to submit a transfer request after Sunderland, Huddersfield Town and Bristol City all saw bids rejected.
Sunderland, Huddersfield Town and Bristol City are all said to be interested in Rudoni this summer. The Sun has said that the Championship trio have seen £1m bids knocked back for the midfielder from AFC Wimbledon.
The interest comes after a starring season for the 21-year-old and following the Dons’ relegation, Rudoni is among those tipped to make a jump to a higher league.
Now, an update has emerged on Rudoni’s situation at Plough Lane.
The Daily Mail states that AFC Wimbledon are ‘braced’ for the academy graduate to submit a transfer request. The report mentions Luton Town as another potential suitor as Rudoni looks to make a summer exit.
Moreover, it is said the promising talent has been training separately and is becoming increasingly unsettled as he believes he is being priced out of a move.
Ready for the step up?
Rudoni has certainly proven that he is a level above League Two.
He starred for the Dons despite their struggles last season and looks destined to play at a higher level in the future. Any of Sunderland Huddersfield Town and Bristol City would be striking a great deal in recruiting Rudoni this summer as he looks like a player who could land them a big profit in the future.
The AFC Wimbledon ace’s ability to play in a wide range of midfield roles would help him fit into a number of systems. That also provides managers with plenty of tactical versatility.
He has shown an eye for goal too, managing 12 goals and seven assists in 49 games across all competitions last season.
