MK Dons linked with move for Crystal Palace man amid Coventry City interest

According to The Sun reporter Alan Nixon, League One side MK Dons are interested in Crystal Palace’s young defender Tayo Adaramola.

MK Dons finished 3rd in last season’s League One table, losing out in the play-offs after a 2-1 aggregate defeat by rival Wycombe Wanderers.

They will be wanting more of the same this coming season. The play-offs and promotion are likely to be in their sights.

A summer shake-up will be underway and it appears that Eagles youngster Adaramola could be a part of that.

18-year-old left-back Adaramola has come through the youth set-up at Selhurst Park. Adaramola moved through the age groups at the London club and has two first-team appearances in the FA Cup under his belt. These go alongside 20 appearances in the Premier League 2 competition. He has a further 28 appearances in the U18 Premier League.

Now, a snippet in an article by Sun man Nixon says MK Dons ‘are keen‘ to take the Palace youngster on loan.

It is added that a move to Liam Manning’s side will ‘guarantee he plays games’, which could be a deal sealer. Premier League sides are often willing to loan on the proviso their loanees get first-team exposure.

However, a previous report by The Sun said that Championship side Coventry City were also interested in a move for the young defender.

MK Dons interest in Adaramola – thoughts?

Sides lower down in English football’s league ladder often covet Premier League youngsters.

Someone like Adaramola will have received high-level coaching at Crystal Palace and will likely will have benefitted from playing around higher calibre players.

The young defender is also a Republic of Ireland youth international and that is something that is hard to overlook.

With all of this, and his football pedigree, MK Dons would be wise in following up their interest and making a move.
