Swansea City’s transfer window has been a relatively quiet one so far, but this week has seen a number of Swans transfer reports emerge.
And perhaps the biggest one of those is the rumours linking Joel Piroe with a move to Swansea City’s Championship rivals Watford.
The Dutchman has constantly been in transfer headlines this summer and the Hornets are the latest team being linked, but a report from Swansea Independent may have poured cold water on that one.
Keith Haynes writes that Watford value Piroe at £8million, but that this figure won’t be enough to tempt Swansea into selling Piroe this summer.
Elsewhere, Swansea City are said to be closing in on the signing of two new players with Arsenal’s out-of-contract goalkeeper Remy Mitchel poised to finally sign.
And WalesOnline revealed earlier today the Swans are close to signing Union SG left-back, and former MK Dons man Matthe Sorinola on loan for the 2022/23 campaign.
Also today came the news that Swansea City target and former player Joe Allen will definitely be leaving Stoke City this summer after rejecting the offer of a new contract, with John Percy tweeting:
Joe Allen is leaving #Stoke after declining the offer of a new contract, bringing his six-year spell to an end. Allen is a free agent and will be joining another club.. Swansea is a possible option #scfc https://t.co/yVuaRreFix

Lastly, it was revealed earlier this week that Portsmouth remain keen on signing Swansea City duo Liam Cullen and Morgan Whittaker.
Swansea City had a pretty subdued start to this summer’s transfer window. But with the likes of Harry Darling and Nathan Wood having joined, Swans fans may be quietly optimistic for the next season, proving they can get one or two more deals over the line.
