Presenting the inside scoop on the latest Football League news

Huddersfield Town linked with 5 potential new signings ahead of July including 17-G/A midfielder

Huddersfield Town look to be wasting no time in their preparations for the 2022/23 campaign, after their play-off heartbreak last time round.

Carlos Corberan’s Huddersfield Town finished in 3rd place last season. They surprised everyone with their performance and a large part of their success was their business in the last summer transfer window.

Town managed to pull off a number of shrewd signings and they look set to do so again this summer, with one soon-to-be free agent linked with the Terriers being Robbie Brady.

The Bournemouth man sees his contract expire at the end of this month and he’s said to have a number of suitors in the second tier.

Meanwhile, Huddersfield Town were backed to sign FC Halifax Town’s Jesse Debrah earlier this month. But more recently, Halifax boss Chris Millington has said he believes Debrah will remain with his club for at least one more year.

And this week, reports (via TWTD) have revealed that Huddersfield Town are one of a number of sides looking into Ipswich Town’s young striker Tyreece Simpson, who is valued at £250,000.

Another recent transfer rumour has linked Blackpool’s Keshi Anderson with the Terriers.

Reports (via ExaminerLive) say that Huddersfield Town like former Crystal Palace man Anderson, who scored four goals in the league for Blackpool last season.

Lastly, Huddersfield Town have recently had a bid rejected for AFC Wimbledon’s Jack Rudoni.

The Terriers are rivalling Bristol City and Sunderland for his signature, with all three sides having had seven-figure bids rejected.

But Daily Mail says that Huddersfield and Sunderland will hold further talks with Rudoni, who scored 12 and assisted five in League One last season.

Corberan has certainly given Town fans hope for the future. He’s tactically aware and shrewd in the transfer market, and if he can have another strong showing in this summer’s transfer window then Huddersfield Town could easily claim another top-six finish next season.
