Significant update emerges on Cardiff City’s superstar pursuit as huge decision nears

Cardiff City boss Steve Morison reportedly spoke with superstar Gareth Bale on Wednesday morning during his visit to the Bluebirds’ training facilities.

Bale’s future has been up in the air for some time now after it was confirmed he would be leaving Spanish giants Real Madrid.

A move to hometown club Cardiff City has been romantically enthused about by Welsh supporters for the past few months, but the Bluebirds have been mentioned as a serious option for the Welsh hero as he weighs up his next move.

Now, perhaps the most significant update on Cardiff City’s Bale pursuit to date has emerged from Wales Online.

It is claimed that the 32-year-old visited the Championship club’s training ground on Wednesday morning, during which he spoke with manager Steve Morison to discuss his future. Moreover, it is added a decision could be made on his future ‘in the coming days’ before he heads on holiday until the middle of July.

He made the visit to do physio work with some of FA Wales’ staff, but his conversation with Morison will pique the interests of many.

A dream to reality?

While there’s nothing concrete just yet, there’s no doubt that this news will excite many.

Bale is one of the greatest British players of all time and to have him return to his hometown before Wales embark on the World Cup would be almost unbelievable for many Cardiff City fans.

That being said, a decision remains to be made and there’s no doubt that the Welsh superstar will have plenty of options on the table as he prepares for what will probably be the final chapter of his playing career.
