Rotherham United looking to seal six-figure deal for Lincoln City star

Rotherham United have triggered the £200,000 release clause in Cohen Bramall’s Lincoln City contract, Sky Sports’ Lyall Thomas has reported.

Rotherham United are gearing up for life back in the Championship after winning promotion from League One once again last time around.

Paul Warne will be hoping the arrival of some fresh faces can help them in their fight to maintain their place in the second tier, and it seems ground is being made up on signing number two after the recruitment of Conor Washington.

As per Sky Sports reporter Thomas, the Millers are looking to seal a deal for Lincoln City’s flying left-back Bramall.

It is said that Rotherham United have triggered the £200,000 release clause in his deal at Sincil Bank and now, the former non-league talent is set to undergo a medical with the Championship club.

Ready for a Championship return?

Bramall does already have some Championship experience under his belt, spending a short stint with Birmingham City back in 2017.

The move came only a matter of months after the Crewe-born left-back made the huge jump from non-league Hednesford Town to Arsenal in January 2017. Since then, he has become an EFL mainstay, impressing with Colchester United over a two-year stint before heading to Lincoln City in winter 2021.

With the Imps, Bramall has impressed on the left, managing two goals and six assists in 53 outings.

Able to feature as either a left-back or left wing-back, Bramall’s athleticism sees him bomb up and down the left-hand side, providing threat going forward as well as defensive assurances.

Rotherham United will be hoping to tie up the deal for Bramall to make him their second signing of the window.
