West Ham transfer rumours, West Ham plotting double Watford swoop

West Ham plotting double Watford swoop

West Ham are set to make moves for Watford duo Emmanuel Dennis and Ismaela Sarr, says ExWHUemployee.

Watford are returning to the Championship after another disastrous showing in the Premier League.

But the Hornets have some valuable assets on their books in Dennis and Sarr – the two showed Premier League qualities last time round and both have since attracted top flight interest.

And a fresh report from ExWHUemployee (via WestHamZone) says that the Hammers are keen on both Dennis and Sarr, and that the club will indeed make moves for both players – David Moyes’ side though will focus the majority of their attention on Sarr.

The 24-year-old Sarr was heavily linked with a Premier League upon Watford’s previous relegation from the Premier League in 2020. He stayed with the Hornets and steered them towards an immediate return to the top flight, but now it looks as though Sarr’s time at Vicarage Road might be coming to an end.

As for Dennis, he joined Watford last summer and went on to score 10 goals and assist a further six in 33 Premier League outings for the Hornets last season.

Watford clear-out coming?

Watford, despite their torrid showing in the Premier League last season, have some decent players in their ranks.

New manager Rob Edwards may be fearful of losing too many of those players and then struggling next time round, but it looks inevitable that one of – if not both of – Sarr and Dennis will leave this summer.

The Hornets could do well to cash in on them soon so that they can potentially reinvest the money back into the club ahead of what will be a really compeitive 2022/23 Championship campaign.
