Ipswich Town midfielder still a target for Tranmere Rovers, Leyton Orient

Ipswich Town youngster Idris El Mizouni remains a target for League Two pair Tranmere Rovers and Leyton Orient, TWTD has reported.

Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna has the chance to really shape the squad to his liking before the 2022/23 campaign.

His first summer transfer window in charge at Portman Road has begun, and it will be hoped that some movement on the transfer front can help him further embed his ethos and philosophy in East Anglia.

Some players will have to head out to make way for fresh additions, and one who could move out is midfielder El Mizouni.

A report from TWTD said last month that the door could open for the youngster to head out either permanently or temporarily with Tranmere Rovers and Leyton Orient keen. Now, a new report from the same outlet has said the League Two remain interested, though it is now stated a loan exit is likely.

On the fringes…

The one-cap Tunisia international has long looked like an Ipswich Town academy graduate that could go on to break into the first-team.

He has notched up 25 appearances for the senior side but is yet to enjoy a sustained run of games in the side, dropping in and out while spending time out on loan with the likes of Cambridge United and Grimsby Town.

El Mizouni remains a promising prospect and could yet break into the first-team at Portman Road, especially with two years remaining on his contract with the club.

However, regardless of whether the season is spent with Ipswich Town or out on loan, you get the feeling it will be an important one for El Mizouni.
