3 players linked with QPR who could realistically sign this summer

QPR’s summer transfer plans look to be getting underway with new manager Michael Beale at the helm.

QPR are closing in on the signing of Chelsea’s Jake Clarke-Salter, who could become Beale’s first signing as R’s manager.

Other names are also being linked with a summer move to west London and it has fans exited for the 2022/23 season.

But which ones could we expect to see sign for the R’s this summer?

Here we look at three players who’ve been linked with QPR, and who could realistically sign for the club this summer…

Troy Parrott

Tottenham are planning on loaning Parrott out to the Championship this season and QPR has been mentioned as a possible destination.

The likes of Middlesbrough and Swansea City are also keen, but QPR’s director of football Les Ferdinand could use his Spurs connections to bring Parrott in on loan to QPR this summer.

Parrott impressed on loan at MK Dons last season, scoring nine and assisting six in the league, and playing a huge role in the Dons’ eventual 3rd place finish.

George Cox

Cox was a target for QPR last summer and heading into this summer, reports have reignited their interest in the left-back.

Currently playing in the Netherlands with Fortuna Sittard, Cox is thought to favour a move back to the UK this summer and QPR are clearly on the lookout for a left-back, with several having been linked in the past week or so.

The R’s will have already done their homework on the 24-year-old and if Beale has a bit of spending money at his disposal this summer, Cox could well be someone he brings in.

Cameron Archer

The Aston Villa youngster has a number of suitors in the Championship, but with Beale now at QPR, it could give the west Londoners the upper-hand in their pursuit of the 20-year-old.

Recent reports have suggested that Villa could send Archer on loan to QPR this summer given the Beale link, which would come as a blow to the likes of Preston North End who are keen on re-signing Archer on loan this summer.

Villa boss Steven Gerrard knows how Beale operates and he’ll know that Archer would be in good hands if he heads for QPR this summer.
