Doncaster Rovers midfielder Liam Ravenhill extends Mickleover loan

Doncaster Rovers midfielder Liam Ravenhill has extended his loan deal at Mickleover FC, as announced by their official club website.

Doncaster Rovers have let the youngster remain out on loan to carry on getting game time.

Ravenhill, 19, will now return to his parent club in the summer.

Rovers’ website also says goalkeeper Ben Bottomley is also staying with Pickering Town, whilst midfielder Lirak Hasani will stick with Basford United.

Doncaster Rovers academy graduate

Ravenhill has been on the books at Doncaster Rovers for his whole career to date and has risen up through the academy of the Yorkshire side.

A report by the Daily Mail last year reported that he was on the radar of some Championship clubs.

His current side have managed to keep hold of him and he has been a regular at various youth levels over the past few years.

The midfielder was handed his first-team debut in an FA Cup clash against FC United of Manchester in the last campaign and has since made six more senior appearances to date.

Ravenhill, whose father Ricky was a footballer for the likes of Notts County, Bradford City and Mansfield Town, had a loan spell at Mickleover last year to get some experience and made his return there in February. He has also had a loan stint away at AFC Telford United in the past.

Doncaster Rovers will welcome him back for pre-season with it looking like it is only a matter of time before their relegation to League Two is sealed after a tough campaign.
