Tottenham Hotspur winger Jack Clarke undergoing medical ahead of loan move to QPR

Tottenham Hotspur winger Jack Clarke is undergoing a medical at Queens Park Rangers ahead of a loan move for the rest of the season according to The Evening Standard.

Clarke endured a frustrating spell at Leeds during the first half of the campaign in which he failed to have the impact he managed in the previous season and was recalled by his parent club earlier this month.

The midfielder came through the ranks at Leeds and then made the move to Tottenham last summer for a fee of around £10million after impressing in his time at Elland Road. He was subsequently loaned back to the Whites but failed to break into the starting XI and even the matchday squad on some occasions.

QPR are hopeful that a deal can be finalised today in order for him to be available for their match this weekend against his former club Leeds United.

Several Championship clubs had shown an interest in signing the 19-year-old, including Derby County and Millwall, but QPR are set to win the race for his signature for the rest of the campaign.

QPR host Leeds at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on Saturday where Clarke could make his debut should the deal be completed.

Mark Warburton’s side already have Luke Amos on loan from the Premier League side and have helped to develop his game and Spurs will now be hoping that Clarke’s loan spell have also have the desired effect throughout the course of the second half of the season.
