5 things we learned about the Championship this weekend

1. Rowett has rallied the troops at Birmingham

JS49593063Sometimes things just seem the perfect fit. It may only be early days for the Gary Rowett era at Birmingham, but from one game there are very promising signs. The derby game against Wolves now seems like a blessing in disguise for Rowett as he had to do very little to get the players motivated for the clash at Molineux. Nevertheless, there was evidence of work on the training ground throughout the game and the commitment shown from one to eleven was a stark contrast to the embarrassment against Bournemouth last weekend. The draw was Birmingham’s first point in five games, however with league leaders Watford visiting St Andrews on Tuesday there is no resting on their laurels.
