Stoke City and Huddersfield Town said keen on West Brom loan man

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Championship pair Stoke City and Huddersfield Town are both keen on West Brom’s out of favour loan man Chris Willock, who is yet to make his first-team debut for the Baggies.

Since arriving on loan from Portuguese side Benfica in the summer transfer window, winger Chris Willock is yet to make his first senior appearance for West Brom, with all of his game time coming in the club’s Under-23s side so far this season.

Now, with the January transfer window just around the corner, it has been reported by the Daily Mail that the Baggies could lose Willock to one of their fellow Championship clubs this winter, with Benfica keen for him to head somewhere he will be playing more first-team football.

Both Stoke City and Huddersfield Town are said to be looking at Willock as a potential signing for the January transfer window, as the pair look to fire themselves up the table after thoroughly disappointing starts to the Championship season.

In his time at West Brom, Willock has played 10 times for the club’s Under-23s side, scoring four goals and providing five assists in the process. While his goal contributions for the second-string side have been impressive, he has still been unable to force his way into Slaven Bilic’s plans.

With the window a matter of days away, it will be interesting to see if Willock continues to play with West Brom in their Under-23s or if he is tempted away from the Hawthorns by one of the Baggies’ Championship rivals.
