FC Midtjylland in discussions with Brentford midfielder

FC Midtjylland are in talks with Brentford’s Emiliano Marcondes.

The Danish side are looking to resolve his future on loan there, according to a report by Sport Witness.

Marcondes, who is a former Denmark Under-21 international, has spent the first half of this season on loan with the Superliga side. He has made 13 appearances for them in all competitions, chipping in with three goals.

He has fallen out-of-favour at Brentford, hence why the Championship side allowed him to leave on loan over the summer. However, his loan deal at Midtylland expires at the end of this month and it is yet to be known where he will finish this season at.

Midtylland are hoping he can extend his stay for the rest of their campaign, but it depends it Thomas Frank believed he can play a part for the Bees in their promotion push.

Marcondes started his career with local side Hvidovre IF before he was snapped up by FC Nordsjælland as a youngster in 2010.

The 24-year-old went on to become a key player for the “Wild Tigers” and made 119 appearances for them altogether, scoring 38 goals.

Brentford swooped to sign him in July 2017 but he has since struggled for opportunities with the London side. He has failed to score in his three seasons at Griffin Park and played just five times last season before being loaned out in the summer.
