Derby County considering loan move for Fenerbahce midfielder

Derby County are considering a loan move for Fenerbahce midfielder Ferdi Kadioglu.

The Rams are looking to boost their midfield options in January and could move for the youngster, according to a report by Sport Witness.

Kadioglu, who is 20 years-old, was signed for Fenerbahce by Derby boss Phillip Cocu in 2018 but has found first team opportunities hard to come by with the Turkish Super Lig side.

Cocu may now swoop to bring to Pride Park for the second-half of the season to gain some more senior football experience. His side are currently 16th in the Championship and are eight points off the Play Offs after a slow start to the campaign.

Kadioglu has made seven appearances in all competitions for Fenerbahce this term and is likely to be allowed to leave on loan this winter.

The Dutch-born midfielder started his career at local side ESA Rijkerswoerd before being picked up by NEC Njimegen in 2008.

He rose up through the youth ranks at Stadion de Goffert and went on to make 61 appearances for their first team by the age of 19 and scored 11 goals.

That earned him a move to Turkey to Fenerbahce but his pathway into their starting XI has been blocked.

Kadioglu, who is now a Holland Under-21 international having previously represented his country at other youth levels, is a player who Derby could look to sign next month.
