Aston Villa, QPR and Charlton Athletic tracking Brentford youngster

Aston Villa, Queens Park Rangers and Charlton Athletic are all tracking Brentford youngster Jaden Brissett according to reports from The Daily Mail.

The attacking midfielder has been in fine form for Brentford’s youth side having notched 12 goals and provided nine assists in 18 matches so far this season.

Brissett is out of contract with the Bees in the summer and as well as Premier League side Aston Villa, Championship duo QPR and Charlton Athletic are also thought to be monitoring the teenage starlet.

The 18-year-old has recently enjoyed a loan spell with non-league side Maidenhead United and is now making waves at Brentford which has alerted a number of clubs with a view to a potential transfer.

Brissett signed an 18-month deal with Brentford last January after leaving Norwich City and their B side, which consists of arranging matches against other teams from this country and abroad in order to test themselves prior to testing themselves in the first team, has allowed him to showcase his talents.

The coach of the Brentford B team has already praised the performances of the striker saying: “We’ve been looking at Jaden for a while and have been really impressed by his ability during his trial period. He’s a player with great potential, who can already play in a number of positions.”

With his impressive performances having bought attention from other clubs, Brentford may face a battle to retain Brissett who may be keen to test himself at first-team level in the near future.
