Hull City manager optimistic ahead of trip to Leeds United

Hull City travel to Elland Road tonight (December 10) to take on a Leeds United side who are hoping to return to the top of the Sky Bet Championship table.

The Whites have won their last six games, and will overtake West Brom with a victory and potentially open up an 11 point gap to third place.

Despite the excellent form of Leeds, Hull City manager Grant McCann has said that his side will go to Elland Road with no fear.

Speaking to the club’s official website, the Tigers boss said: “It is going to be a tough task, it really is. They have won six in a row and have real confidence at the minute, so I am sure no-one will give us any hope of going there and winning.”

“But we will go there and play with a smile on our face and freedom and enjoyment and see if we can cause an upset. It is not impossible to go there and get a result. We will go there with belief that we can; not sitting back. We will go there to try and win the game as it is the only way we know how to play.”

“I think we have shown we can compete against the top teams and we will try and do that again. We have got results against Forest and Fulham and away to Luton, which is a difficult place. We are looking forward to the game and will see what we can do.”

A victory for Hull could see them move level on points with Sheffield Wednesday in sixth place.
