Multiple clubs lining up to sign out of favour Leeds United winger

Multiple clubs are lining up to sign out of favour Leeds United winger Jack Clarke in January following his unsuccessful loan spell according to Football Insider.

There are teams from both the Championship and the Premier League looking at Clarke who was sold to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer but then subsequently loaned back to Leeds but he has failed to have the same impact that he had last season.

Due to his lack of playing time in the first half of the campaign, the Whites are expecting him to be recalled by Spurs and this could leave them with the option to loan out the 19-year-old elsewhere in search of regular first team football.

Nottingham Forest have been reported to have an interest in the winger but they are one of many in England’s second tier keen on a loan deal as well as some top flight clubs.

Clarke has had just 19 minutes of football this season despite being available. EFL rules stating that only five loan players can be included in a match day squad haven’t helped his cause with Leeds opting for their other loanees to be included ahead of the teenager.

Leeds United forward Jack Clarke (47) during the EFL Sky Bet Championship match between Sheffield United and Leeds United at Bramall Lane, Sheffield, England on 1 December 2018.

Tottenham spent £9.5million rising to a potential £13million following his impressive debut campaign in which he made 25 appearances and had Premier League clubs all eyeing up a swoop for his signature.

Leeds boss Marco Bielsa is believed to be happy with Clarke and has openly praised him and his performances but this has not led to him being utilised within the squad.

He has made just three appearances this season and two of those have come in the League Cup. With his lack of game time, the best thing for all parties may be for him to return to his parent club and find regular football away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
